The first thing I noticed when I met Jen and Jake was how kind they were! During their engagement session I knew they were going to be a fantastic couple to work with! After an hour of laughing and smiles during their engagement session, I anxiously awaited their special day at a wonderful venue!

Jen and Jake chose the venue Union 12 in Columbia City, Indiana on a Thursday in October. The venue is one of my favorites to shoot weddings at, so I was so excited to be photographing their day here! The forecast for the day called for rain and cloudy skies. However, just as this couple was saying their vows, the sun came out and stayed out long enough for us to even get some beautiful sunset portraits in!

When I arrived at the venue, the girls were getting ready and I started with the bridal details. Let me tell you about this ring of Jen's...ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! It was so fun to photograph and I loved each of their details for their wedding! Jake arrived and the guys then got ready upstairs from the girls, then waited patiently for the first look!

We were planning on doing a first look in the beautiful field behind the venue, but it was just a tad too wet, so we decided on the ceremony location. It turned out perfectly and I am so glad we used it!

After the ceremony, portraits, and wonderful speaches, it was time to party! There was great dancing and lots of laughter from those who attended the wedding. We ended the night with an exit Jen and Jake will remember forever! The sparklers were perfect under the string of lights, it all looked so magical!

Jen and Jake had the perfect day and I am so blessed and thankful I was able to be a part of it! Here are the highlights of the day!
