When you are a parent to a rainbow baby, it is a special kind of love. I know from personal experience, because my little Rowan is my rainbow baby. A few months before we found out we were pregnant with Rowan, we had lost a baby at 9 weeks. It may seem like it was early enough that it wouldn't effect us as much, but in reality it was SO HARD. We got to hear the heart beat and see the baby on the ultrasound, we were completely in love with that little peanut on the screen.

The loss of a baby makes the joy and appreciation of the rainbow baby amplified infinitely. Rainbow babies are the light at the end of the tunnel that is dark and sad. The relief when you get to hold that rainbow in your arms for the first time is indescribable!

This little guy right here in these photos is a rainbow for his mama and daddy. He is extra special to them, and I could just feel the love for the little guy during his newborn session. We added some rainbow themed sets to celebrate the fact that he is their joy at the end of their sorrow tunnel!

I loved getting to meet little Mr. E, and his mama and grandpa too! He loved snuggles and especially his mama! I can not wait for the day I get to photograph him again! :)
